At this time, they are simply sent to your email. This will change soon.
|How can I move a single post to another topic or forum?||Go to top|
At this time, you can't. You must move the whole topic.
|How do I delete a post or a topic?||Go to top|
|If it is the first post of a topic - you cannot delete just the post. You have to delete the whole topic.|
Go to the topic list (inside a forum), check the box on the left of the topic you want to trash, then chose Delete at the pull down bar on the bottom of the page in the Moderation options.
If you want to delete just one post of a topic, but not the very first post of this topic - there IS a small link reading "Delete" - right next to Edit and Reply. If you don't see the Delete link, it's because either:
1. You are not logged in as a user with moderation privileges in this board. The owner of the board, the administrators the owner assigned, or the moderators the owner assigned have moderation privileges. (still with me? ;-)
2. You are looking at the first post of a topic, which cannot be deleted, must delete the whole topic, yadda yadda.
What you might be trying to do is to delete the Test message that is sent every time you create a new forum.
Do like I said above, check the topic in the topic list inside the forum, select Delete from the pull down bar at the bottom of the screen, click Go.. there you are.
|How do I put a link back to my Home page from my board?||Go to top|
|Go to Control Panel>Board Management>Edit layout/colors>Manage Custom HTML |
You will see a Header area and a Footer area.
These are where you can add HTML code for extra features/functions on your board.
If you put the code in the header, the link will appear at the top. If you put it in the footer, it will appear at the bottom.
To make a link for your home page, add some code like this:
<a href="https://www.mysite.com/HomePage.html" TARGET="_blank"><b><font color="#333344" face="TimesRoman"><span style="font-size:14">My Home Page</ span></font></b></a>
You'd substitute "https://www.mysite.com/HomePage.html" with your own home page URL.
The TARGET="blank" will open your home page in a new window, rather than using the same window as your board.
The font color code lets you change the text colouring for "My Home Page".
Naturally, you can change the link text from "My Home Page" to whatever you want.

A few places to find smilies
|What is the Publicly Displayed Location in the Control Panel?||Go to top|
|It's a small bit of text that will be displayed in all your posts right under your name. If you live in London,|
you might want to set it to "London". If you don't explicitely set this up, nothing will be displayed.
|How many boards can I create?||Go to top|
|Up to 10 per user account, at this moment.|
|How to set the image displayed at the top of my board?||Go to top|
|Well first you need a picture. Then you need to have it stored somewhere online that lets you link to it from other websites. After that, you go to your controls>manage (board name)>edit layout/colors>community logo options|
Put the direct URL of the image there. The url to images generally end in .jpg or .gif
It will also ask for Height and width...It is in Edit Layout/Colors of your Message Board's control panel.
|What does "sticky" and "unsticky" mean?||Go to top|
When you "sticky" a topic, it will always appear in the top of the topic list. Do it for important topics like forum rules, important announcements... Stuff you don't want to fall off the top when other topics are posted.
Unsticky just removes this tag and the topic becomes normal.
